June “Lyn” Park will be seeking to put hands to another prestigious Extreme Masters trophy after being shortlisted for Season III Asia Continental Finals in Chengdu, China.
The Asia Continental Finals, which will open on 16 January, 2009, comes in line with Extreme Masters Season III Seoul to compensate WC3 community for the loss of the popular game in the Global Finals in CeBIT in Hanover, Germany, 3-8 March, 2009.
The WC3 top earner in 2008, who has garnered a staggering prize of $100,000 through his won titles, such as Extreme Masters Season II Global Final and BlizzCon 2008 to name a few, is poised to build on his past success and pursue the gold medal, which will distribute $5,000 to the winner, in the last WC3 tournament of Extreme Masters this season.
ESL World in the meantime unveiled former SK Gaming player Mykhaylo 'HoT' Novopashyn alongside June 'Lyn' Park which finalised the 8-man invitee list. Aside from the Meet Your Makers duo Manuel 'GrubbY' Schenkhuizen and Jae Ho 'Moon' Jang, they will face tough challenge from four sound Chinese players Weiliang 'Fly100%' Lu, Xuwen 'InFi' Wang, Xiaofeng 'Sky' Li and Zhuo 'TeD' Zeng, who will be desperate to keep the trophy on their home soil.
