coL almost completely move to EG for 1.6

ImageOnly a few weeks ago it was announced that the CGS was closing down immediately, leaving the teams and brands with basically nothing. The Counter-Strike team of compLexity had started to play Counter-Strike 1.6 again months ago already and can now focus on doing so in TeamEG, picking up Jordan "n0thing" Gilbert for Ronald "Rambo" Kim.

Today, probably the biggest change in compLexity happened as the team left their old home and manager Jason Lake after many years. Four out of the five players will now be playing at TeamEG together with Jordan 'n0thing' Gilbert who will be the only player remaining.

Earlier this year it was rumoured that n0thing might leave the team and get replaced by Ph0bius, but this was most likely just the preparation for this big change. After years of playing Counter-Strike: Source in the CGS, Danny 'fRoD' Montaner, Matt 'Warden' Dickens, Tyler 'Storm' Wood and Corey 'hanes' Hanes return to Counter-Strike 1.6.

The team will be attending several events in 2009, but also the online leagues such as CEVO and the recently started ESL Extreme Masters America. But they removed Ronald "Rambo" Kim in order to pick up n0thing as Rambo did not fit in this team.

Commenting further on the organization's big announcement, Team EG Executive Director Alex Garfield shared, "This is obviously a very exciting day for the EG organization, as we're welcoming in a group of players who really do qualify as bona fide legends. We feel that combing them with Jordan, our impact player this year and one of the most exciting new talents in eSports, will truly help energize North American Counter-Strike." Garfield also added, "We hope that the team's rich history with Jason Lake and compLexity is always preserved in the minds of eSports fans around the world, as Jason is one of the true eSports pioneers and deserves only the highest level of respect. But we're equally excited for these players to begin writing a new chapter as members of Team EG."
