The top four of each game made it to the finals getting the chance to compete for the 165.000€ prize money. The event is opening with Counter-Strike 1.6 and FIFA 2008 at 13.00 CET which can be followed locally at the EXPO XXI in Cologne, with streaming services for the games such as WTV or HLTV but the whole weekend will also be broadcast by ESL-TV (German).

In addition, the ESL have switched to Single Elimination for the first time ever, making it BO3 in both Counter-Strike games and BO5 in Warcraft III. This change has been made for the teams but also for the spectators as it shorten the overall event to only two days instead of three.
