Corin Cole, of Cadred.org, has published an extremely interesting article regarding the CGS which exposes some hard numbers obtained from an inside source at the CGS.According to Corin, the CGS spent 25 million dollars in season one with a 50 million dollar budget for 5 years, as well as an alleged $300,000 per season deal for esports legend Jonathan "Fatal1ty" Wendel.
"Johnathan "Fatal1ty" Wendel is another prime example of both overspending and misspending. Wendel is, and can be, a lot of things, but he is not an experienced commentator, and yet he was paid, wait for it, an alleged $300,000 per season according to one source inside the CGS, for his services".
Viewing statistics, however, were reasonable as "Eurosport also managed to pull in an estimated one million viewers according to a source close to Eurosport, but on the bigger scale of things, these figures were not enough to justify the cost of the league, which was hemorrhaging money."

The immense budget used on season one was down to the fact the CGS was only ever planned to be a North American League in its first season, which apparently explains the lack of attention on the European teams in comparison to the American.Viewing statistics, however, were reasonable as "Eurosport also managed to pull in an estimated one million viewers according to a source close to Eurosport, but on the bigger scale of things, these figures were not enough to justify the cost of the league, which was hemorrhaging money."

Professionalize your organisation and make sponsors feel your passion to develop the scene further.
Making all those unnecessairy costs shows lack of management skills, and most of all, lack of resourse study.
what a waste :(((
