Trade Chat All Stars win EM Philadelphia

ImageAt their first offline tournament, Trade Chat All Stars came back from the lower bracket to defeat the previously unbeaten RMD team; GotGame East.

Having reached the grand finals with a 6-2 record against the rookie team, GotGame East could've been forgiven for believing their first tournament win was all but theirs what with only needing to win one series out of two to claim the championship. Trade Chat had other ideas, however, and coming off the back of victories in the lower bracket against Gravitas in a mirror match and EG, who had an impressive record against RMP with their unconventional RLS comp, completely revised their tactic versus the RMD of GGE, utilising a more offensive approach to the matchup. This, coupled with their momentum, proved too much for GGE, who got shut out quickly in the first series 0-3 before closely losing out in the second 2-3.

EM III Philadelphia was the last 3.0 level 70 tournament before the implementation of level 80 characters and gear. Trade Chat All Stars (RMP), GotGame East (RMD) and EG (RLS) will represent America in the Extreme Masters global finals in Hannover next year.

The next major WoW tournament will serve to distribute the 7 European global finals slots earned by SK.eu, Nihilum Plasma and x6 in the EM Global Challenges, and will take place next February in Hamburg.

Final Standings
1. Trade Chat All Stars [RMP] ($15,000 and a slot in the global finals)
2. GotGame East [RMD] ($6,000 and a slot in the global finals)
3. Evil Geniuses [RLS] ($3,600 and a slot in the global finals)
4. Gravitas Gaming - WoW [RMP] ($2,400)
5/6. fnaticMSI.WoW [WLD] ($1,500)
5/6. Got Game West [RLD] ($1,500)
