The Dutch Warcraft 3 player won his second title in at the WCG grand final in Cologne, just like his fellow countryman Wouter "Handewasser" van Someren. His previous gold medal dates from 2004.

Manuel 'Grubby' Schenkhuizen is the second Warcraft 3 player in the WCG Hall of Fame, the other one being the double champion and triple medalist Xiaofeng 'Sky' Li. They are in good company in the Hall of Fame as the list of names also includes Team 3D, SK's FIFA players Daniel 'hero' Schellhase and Dennis 'styla' Schellhase, the legendary Yo Hwan 'BoxeR' Lim, the former SK player Christian "GitzZz" Hoeck and others. All WCG Heroes are double gold medalists.
