Gordon Freeman and the Half-Life franchise turned 10-years-old today, with Valve throwing a bargain of a birthday bash for the little tyke.10 years after the release of Half-Life the franchise is still going strong, so strong in fact Valve can afford to practically give the game away.
The game was released ten years ago today, in 1998, so Valve decided to re-price the game on Steam at just 98 cents. The homage doesn't hold up well across continental boundaries however, costing just 80 euro-cents here on the other side of the pond.
The game is available for this low, low price for a limited time only, so if you haven't played the game yet, now would probably be a good time to dip into that penny dish. The offer ends 09:01 am CET on November 22nd.
The question now is in 2014 do we get Half-Life 2 for 14 cents?
