The CEG 2008 Series have gone through thick and thin due to this summer's Olympic Games and later loss of head sponsor SK Telecom. Nevertheless, the Beijing Tour between November 22-23 will raise the curtain for this year's Chinese national league.

But those are not the end of the troubles. Many clubs decided to withdraw from the league because CEG have yet to pay last year's prize money according to Mousesports' Chinese team manager Lie's recent blog. This led to a shrunken list of foreign players and a lot fewer Chinese players in this tour. Yoan 'ToD' Merlo, Kim 'SaSe' Hammar, Dae Hui 'FoV' Cho, Xiang 'TH000' Huang and Chenglong 'Sai' Zhou, who previously signed up for the Shanghai Tour, are all missing from the latest list.

All World Elite players as well as Mousesports duo Weiliang 'Fly100%' Lu and Yanchao 'Lyc' Lu will be taking part in the tournament. They will face the challenge from three top-notch Korean players Hyeong Ju 'Check' Lee, Chul Woo 'Shy' Park and Du Seop 'WhO' Chang by then.
