June "Lyn" Park took part in the IeSF invitational over the last two days and his victory over Jang Jae "Moon" Ho in the Grand Final secured 1st place and $8,000.The tournament was a small one with the participating nations picking one player to represent them. June 'Lyn' Park was in fact a last-minute replacement for Dennis 'HasuObs' Schneider, he joined WCG silver medalist Jae Ho 'Moon' Jang and a smattering of other players in this two day tournament.
Every participant received $1,000 for taking part as well as the trip so all is not lost for the players who fell to the Koreans hands. Aside from the two Koreans only Andreas 'WuLvEraTe' Brunner and Lennart 'SushiLicious' Roest ring any bells and the games were comfortable for Moon and Lyn.
Jae Ho 'Moon' Jang seemed out of sorts in his games, perhaps still reflecting on a missed WCG gold medal, but will have time to ponder his performances of late in the coming weeks.
The tournament is noteworthy as it also saw the debut of Yoan 'ToD' Merlo as not a player, but as a commentator. The Frenchman pulled off an exceptional effort in his first attempt at shout casting, and you can check out the VODs of the games on GOMTV.
