Lightning struck twice at the WCG 2008 as the admins made another blunder in the Warcraft III tournament. This time in the play-offs tree. The admins ruled that Martin 'Bonecracker' Hušák should play Yoan 'ToD' Merlo in the play-offs but both finished first in their groups. Bonecracker should in fact face 2nd place of ToD's group, Dmitriy 'Happy' Kostin.
Bonecracker, despite being tied for points with Like in the groupstage, is first in his group because he won the game between himself and Like, putting Like in second place. In order to rectify the brackets the admins should swap Like with Bonecracker to restore the 1 v 2 / 2 v 1 seeding pattern. Whether or not they will do so before the play-offs begin tomorrow is another matter.
