The interview, conducted by Lawrence "Malystryx" Philips, was originally a video interview, however, a few technical issues meant it had to be transcribed instead.

You’ve just come off the stage against TeD, could you tell us what went wrong?

I think I played pretty bad. I was a little bit nervous up there. I've only done one or two [stage matches] so it's still something I have to get used to. [TeD] just played a lot better than me, he's in a lot better shape, he was the better player. I got mauled, but losses like this happen and you just have to take a lessons from it and hope to improve. It's a lesson learned.

There was an incident with an Archmage, why did you bring your Archmage back at that point in the game?

The Death Knight was very low and I needed my Archmage there to provide water elementals, also additional damage. I ran him over there, I guess I didn't take note of how much mana [TeD] had, which was a huge mistake. It was a tag battle between the Death Knight and the Archmage and eventually my Archmage fell over from a death coil, so there wasn't much I could do.

What do you think about the event?

So far I'm having a lot of fun. It's very nice to be in Germany, it's a great place, the weather's nice. So far, over all, the event is really well run. I've had no problems with the referees or admins. I haven't had a chance to get some 'legit' German food yet, but I'm looking forward to that as well. The hotel that WCG put us up at this year is ok, it's a youth hostel. It's an experience, it's not exactly the best hotel, but it's ok. So far so good, I'm really enjoying myself here.

Did you train a lot for this tournament and who did you train with?

It was really difficult to find time to train because right now I'm attending college. School takes up a lot of your time, it's really hard to find definite time to practice. I just practiced with random Europeans, anyone I could find at the last minute. Right now, after losing so bad, I really wish I had spent more time preparing, but it's kind of hard with school and everything.

How close are you to your American teammates?

As of now I haven't met the Gravitas Counter-Strike team yet, I plan on going to watch them right now. As far as team USA with WCG I know most of the guys, we're pretty friendly and we like to joke and have a good time, so everything's fine with them.

Now that you're out of the tournament are you going to watch your teammates play?

While I'm here I'm going to try and practice with some of the other players and improve a little bit, hopefully. I'll definitely watch the rest of the games, I hope to see some exciting matches. At the same time I definitely want to walk around Cologne, get to visit the Cologne sites, maybe get to visit the Cologne cathedral. It just depends on how much time is left.

Who would you say are going to be top three for this tournament?

I think it's going to be WhO, Infi and... let's go with ToD.

Do you have any more tournaments lined up?

In the next few months I really don't have any tournaments coming up, so I can just take the time to prepare for, you know, whatever hopefully comes up. I'll try to improve myself as a player and school, friends and stuff. That's what I plan on doing.
