ESWC 2008 champion and WCG hopeful Du Seop "WhO" Chang has been eliminated from the competition after losing to Martin "Bonecracker" Hušák.Fans had high hopes for the ESWC champion, but after losses to Kejing 'Like' Li, Andrew 'mOOn-GLaDe1' Pender and Martin 'Bonecracker' Hušák, Du Seop 'WhO' Chang just wasn’t able to amass the points he needed to advance.
During the 2008 ESWC grand finals WhO met Bonecracker and, despite a loss then too, was able to advance. However, losing to him at WCG seems to have been the final nail in his coffin.
After losing to Like and mOOn-Glade earlier in the day, WhO was left with a minuscule margin of error and even if he had beaten BoneCracker he still would have been dependent on other players' results, results which failed to pan out in his favour.
Korea's chances of finally winning gold at the WCG in Warcraft have gotten a little slimmer with the dismissal of WhO, though Moon and potentially FoCuS are still in the running, vying to bring Korea its first taste of WCG Warcraft success.
Bonecracker will advance to the playoffs to face Happy, while Like will go on to face ToD.
Lawrence "Malystryx" Phillips was able to catch up to Bonecracker for an interview after his group stage matches.
