ImageThe battle over the MYM versus Dragon incident in the World eSports Masters continues as WEM release an official statement regarding the alleged incident.

As we newsed a couple of days ago World Esports Masters Day 2 finished with once again MYM the victim of a supposed scandal. This time it was against Team Dragon who apparently saw one of their roster removing their earphone amidst in-game celebration thus allowing him to hear the commentary as well as supposedly glancing over to see their opponent's (MYM) screen.

"The warning given to Dragon was not for watching their opponent's screen but for speaking after being killed"
This is an offence punishable by a default loss according to the WEM rulebok but the Dragons only received a warning much to the dismay of MYM. WEM however explain in their statement that "the warning given to Dragon was not for watching their opponent's screen but for speaking after being killed."

In regards to the player who removed his earphones transmitting information he heard to his team-mates WEM reply in the statement that "Dragon did not use ventrilo so it was impossible for him to send information to his team-mates."

And finally in regards to whether or not the player did look at the opponent's screen the WEM comes clean that "They [the referees] can not judge if Dragon has looked at the MYM screen or not because the screen was blocked by a referee on the second floor [of the stage]". The WEM then goes on to say thought that "The player has not turned his head round to a great degree and it was impossible to see the screen on the second floor through the reflection of the PDP."

"The World eSports Masters will not rejudge the match between MYM and Dragon, declaring that the triumph of Dragon is reasonable and effective."
The WEM then closes by stating that the result will not be changed; "all in all, the committee of the World eSports Masters will not rejudge the match between MYM and Dragon, declaring that the triumph of Dragon is reasonable and effective."

Whether or not the public will heed the WEM's decision is questionable considering the WEM is played on Dragon's homesoil. One thing is for certain though MYM are out and their management might be suffering a WCG flashback of MYM vs eStro in WCG 2007.
