Lyn, Moon, Sky and more out of MGC in Day1

More and more shockers are coming up in the opening day of Make Games Colorful 2008 as June “Lyn” Park, Jae Ho “Moon” Jang, Xiaofeng “Sky” Li and more favourites are already out of tournament in group stage.

The title holder has been riding high this month in BlizzCon 2008 and ESWC Masters of Athens, but his winning streak as well as defending campaign have come to a halt today. The SK Gaming player lost to both Chinese veteran suhO and ESWC 2008 winner WhO in a row and consequently lost grip on the title.

The runner-up last term, Moon has also failed to deliver the same results he did in Athens. In spite of deposing of his rival Sky in his debut in the competition, he then lost two straight games to his Korean fellow FoV and TH000, to whom he lost the title of PGL Season III.

Another shocker comes from Group B where the Colorful player Ace took the stage and secured a place in quarter-finals with defeats of Fly100% and SocceR. With two wins and one of them over Lucifer, Fly100% has also proceeded to the next stage, leaving the Meet Your Makers pair in the bottom of their group.

TED as expected dominated Group D and swept his way through the group stage with three straight wins. Since infi has schedule conflict with another tournament and hence did not show up in MGC, the decider of the second place is set to open between two Night elf players, Check and SaSe.

The double elimination best of three playoffs will kick off at 9:30 CET today. With PPStream plug-in installed, you can view the live stream via our event page.
