The International Esports Festival 2008 (IEF2008) was initially scheduled for the 10th this month, however, the organizing body of IEF later on decided to put the event on hold and postpone to run from December 4 to 8.

World Elite and Meet Your Makers became the biggest winners in the respective national qualifier earlier this year as three players of each of them qualified for the event in Wuhan, China.

The holders in the past two years, Xiaofeng “Sky” Li and Xuwen “infi” Wang are teamed up with the Undead phenomenon Zhuo “TED” Zeng and Chenglong “Sai” Zhou in Team China. The Number 1 in the Player Money Ranking this year, June “Lyn” Park of SK Gaming leads Team Korea with Jae Ho “Moon” Jang, Jung Ki “Susiria” Oh and Deok Man “SocceR” Youn.

On the contrary, IEF decided to handpick the European participants and opt for three Night elf players, HoT, LiiLD.C and SaSe. This increases the total number of Night elf players to 6, and leaves only 2 Undead players and 1 Orc player in the forthcoming event.
