Gametrailers.com has released the first in a multi-part retrospective detailing the history of the Warcraft anthology and its developer, Blizzard Entertainment. If you were late to the Warcraft craze, like many of us were, then this documentary is a great way to get caught up on the history of one of the most popular real-time strategy (RTS) titles ever produced.
In part one the documentary details how RTS first came about, which developers helped shape the genre, how Blizzard was founded and how they became the sprawling corporate behemoth they are today.
The documentary also touches on how Blizzard Entertainment came to adopt the ideal that no game should be released until it's truly ready, something Blizzard has since become famous for.
If you're interested in Warcraft then it's a great way to spend the next 15 minutes of your life.
