Group E consisted of Xuwen 'InFi' Wang, Hyo Sub 'FoCuS' Eom, Hao 'suhO' Su and the Yoan 'ToD' Merlo. ToD played his match versus Infi and won but then according to GosuGamers dissapeared from the channel without formally informing the organisers of his departure.

His departure meant his opponent in the next round of the upperbracket Hao 'suhO' Su received a default win thus qualifying him for the next stage. Meanwhile Xuwen 'InFi' Wang's victory against FoCuS and a missing Frenchman meant he also qualified by a default win for the third groundstage.

NGTV's punishment for the actions of the Frenchman were the forfeit of his remaining matches in the qualifiers as well as impose a ban when the next season of the NWL begins.

There are likely to be repercussions from this decision and it is not the first time Yoan 'ToD' Merlo has sparked a fuse in the Chinese community but his dissapearance could simply be an honest mistake. It will be interesting to see whether NGTV will stand by their decision or live to regret it once the Frenchman gets a chance to tell his side of the story.
