With their next MMO game in early production Blizzard CEO Mike Morhaime has already let speculation begin as he revealed their next MMO will not be a WoW sequel.

With World of Warcraft nearly some 11 million strong Blizzard's next MMO will surprisingly not be a sequel to WOW, when asked what the new MMO will be Morhaime replied "I can answer that. It's not going to be a World of Warcraft sequel".

"We're not trying to replace World of Warcraft with this new MMO," explained Morhaime, "We're trying to create a different massively multiplayer experience, and hopefully World of Warcraft will still be going strong when that one is released."

With Diablo3 and Starcraft2 already announced it begs the question of will it be a brand new universe or could we perhaps see Starcraft:Ghost turn MMO?

That would seem the most feasible if Blizzard did decide to expand on something they developed earlier, however Blizzard did develop other titles prior to the release of Warcraft: Orcs & Humans.

I really think Starcraft: Ghost goes MMO or an MMO based on a SCI-Fi theme.

hmm not sure they need to introduce another mmo, just get starcraft and diablo top notch and maybe warcraft 4 lol

I'm sure they will make it Starcraft and go for the ultra futuristic feel aka something new to MMOs afaik, then again a MMO based on viking wars or whatever would also be good, but SC I'll guess.

Well I think like many others, we need a new concept, a new and fresh universe to entertain us.

Just a little tired of sequals :)

Though Lost vikings sequal would rock!

i think it will be a game for casual and hardcore gamers. you dont have to pay every month, but you have to pay for better items. if they put this system in a good scenario, the game will have more players than WoW.
maybe anyone knows kartrider. i think their next mmo will be a bit like it.

the lost vikings will be cool,nothing about starcraft,that already a trilogy,dont think they would develop a mmo also

I think one of blizzards workers already said its going to be a new universe.
My guess is be a MMO playing in a scifi world, maybe a little bit like shadowrun
