June "Lyn" Park takes down his nemesis Jung "Moon" JaeHo in a decisive 2-0 victory to claim the championship at the ESWC Masters of Athens Warcraft 3 finals.June 'Lyn' Park's shape was strong throughout the tournament. His opponent and long time rival, Jae Ho 'Moon' Jang, had made quick work of the other Korean Orc, Du Seop 'WhO' Chang, in the semi finals and this set up a highly anticipated final between the 2 Korean players.
The first game played was on the map Twisted Meadows. A balanced map, Moon opted for the Demon hunter as his starting hero and the Firelord second while setting up an expansion. He supplemented his heros with a mixed army of Talons, Dryads and even hired mercenaries. This was a strategy that had proved effective against Lyn previously, but this time around the SK Orc player showed that he was aware and ready and a crucial hex spell from his Shadow hunter turned the game around taking the lead 1-0.
The second game was fought on Echo Isles, with Lyn having to face Moon's patented (and quite deadly) strategy of mass Talons with his tri hero combination of the Demon Hunter, Beastmaster and Tinker. Lyn opted for the Blademaster and Tauren Chieftain as his heros with the standard combination of raiders and spirit walkers. The nail biting moment was when Lyn surrounded Moon's Demon Hunter and forced a teleport out of him. Lyn used his Lightning shield on the beastmaster and back at base the lightning shield (dealing 20 dmg to nearby units) killed the Demon Hunter giving a crucial lead for Lyn. This win gives Lyn a direct qualification to the finals of ESWC 2009 and a neat prize of $ 7,500.

anyway: well played lyn! deserved win!
The best match and "the real final" during these ESWC was probably Lyn vs ToD, great moment.
