In a few hours the Global Challenge in Montreal, Canada is kicking off with the first matches in Counter-Strike. Twelve teams have been registered and two groups will be played until 3.00 CET while the next two groups follow at 17.00 CET on Saturday. The first two groups are American and Canadian only with Team EG.US, Canada but also Made in Brazil. The matches are scheduled to start at midnight but some small delays are expected. Also ESL-TV is again covering the event with a free video stream in English.
The next groups will then follow on Saturday evening at 17.00 CET followed by the playoffs shortly later. Only two of each group advance to the playoffs but not many surprises are expected for Group A and D as Check-Six and team j1n are not attending and therefor the other teams get a forfeit win.
