Gravitas has spent the past four months or so without a Counter-Strike team. After letting go of their previous team, a group of Danish players who failed to meet the expectations of Gravitas' management, the organisation reevaluated their position in the Counter-Strike market.

Team x3o caught the eye of Gravitas' management after a string of successful appearances at several events, including first place at the WCG US qualifiers. Gravitas believe x3o are currently the strongest team in North America, boasting significant potential on a global scale, leading to the decision to acquire the team.

The reinstatement of a Counter-Strike team has been a long time coming for Gravitas "This is a big day for us at Gravitas and after months without a Counter-Strike team it feels great to be back in the game." As CEO of Gravitas Gaming, Corbin Crnkovic explains.

"The team is not only one of the world's most talented but a close group that has been together for a while, this chemistry we hope will bring home many titles." He said.

The team themselves are excited about the opportunities Gravitas can in turn offer them, "We are very excited about the new opportunity we have with Gravitas Gaming," says Counter-Strike player Matt 'PaTyoJoN' Iantosca.

He continues, "They will allow us to continue to grow as a team and offer us new opportunities we otherwise could not have had in the past. I'd also like to thank x3o and Nick for the great time we had while we were apart of that organization."

The team will be competing under their new brand at the Extreme Masters Montreal event this weekend.
