Lyn keeps his promise, wins BlizzCon

ImageSK Gaming's June"Lyn" Park has made good on a promise to his fans that he would win the BlizzCon 2008 Warcraft Championship, after beating Pedro "LucifroN7" Durán in two sets of matches.

The Korean orc was teetering on the edge after losing to LucifroN7 in the upper bracket final two maps to one. Lyn went on to face Russian undead "Happy" Kostin in the lower bracket final to keep his BlizzCon campaign afloat.

He was able to overcome the Russian with a convincing score of two maps to nil, allowing him to advance to the final where he would once again meet LucifroN7.

Lyn was able to take the series after five very intense games. Lyn took a very aggressive stance in most of the early game moments, forcing LucifroN7 to adopt a defensive stance over and over again.

LucifroN7 really did shine when defending against Lyn's attacks. We saw some very impressive micro from the Spaniard when trying to keep heroes and grunts alive.

The matches, money and shiny new sword may have gone to Lyn, but LucifroN7 really has opened so many doors for himself this weekend, it's as if both have won. It seems quite probable we'll see LucifroN7 being picked up by a more illustrious team sometime in the near future, in light of his stunning performance at BlizzCon.

Lyn on the other hand played some incredibly impressive games, nothing at all like the Lyn we saw yesterday. It has been a few months since we saw Lyn competing in a final, having been knocked out of the ESWC and NWL events just shy of the finals.

This was an important event for the orc star, he's sure to be ecstatic about his victory in California.
