Athens draw cruel for rapha, Toxic, fox, Cypher and Cooller
The ESWC Athens group draw proved that even good seeding does not guarantee even group play. Only Marcel "k1llsen" Paul is happy. All the other players will most likely complain.

The ESWC Athens group draw proved that even good seeding does not guarantee even group play. Only Marcel "k1llsen" Paul is happy. All the other players will most likely complain.Lady Luck favours k1llsen. In his group he got arguable the weakest opponents he could have got from every single drawing pool and he will be facing Richard "noctis" Gansterer, Mateusz "matr0x" Ozga and one of the Greek challengers, puppet.
The others have a great deal of complaining to do. The long time friends and partners in crime, Magnus "fox" Olsson and Johan "Toxjq" Quick are not only playing each other in group play, but joining them is the ESWC bronze medalist Shane "rapha" Hendrixson from SK Gaming. The Swedes must be unhappy because they are practicing with each other. The unknown Greek player Virtuoso completes the group of death.
The past ESWC winners Alexei "Cypher" Yanushevsky and Anton "Cooller" Singov are surely unhappy about the draw. Not only do they dislike playing against opponents from the Russian school of Quake, but they also had plans of boot camping together in Moscow.
The one group where fate was neither mean nor lenient is Group C where Maciej "av3k" Krzykowski meets Fan "RazerJ" Zhibo, Sebastian "spart1e" Siira and one of the Greek challengers.
