Yesterday evening, our FIFA pro
Timo 'Praii' Gruneisen took center stage in the Beat the FIFA Pro Challenge at the MatchMeNRW18 event which was hosted by Mediennetzwerk.NRW in our organization’s hometown of Cologne.
A mixture of media representatives out of different industries, game developers and fans gathered for an active exchange and got the chance to compete against Praii in FIFA 18 as part of the show. Prior to the start of the challenge and the event, our player was asked to the stage and got interviewed by the host Sandra Winterberg. He answered questions about his career path and correlations between the real and virtual football. Some laughter for the audience got provided by him when he jokingly said that he feels like he could occasionally give one or two tactical suggestions for real football teams.
Next to the matches of the ongoing Football World Cup, Praii turned out to be the main attraction of the event and gave several interviews to interested reporters. Between his numerous matches, he took pictures with attending fans and gave out FIFA 18 presents that were provided by EA Sports.
Despite injuring his foot during a jogging session earlier that day, he did not show any weakness and beat all of his opponents by a large margin. During the course of the Beat the FIFA Pro Challenge, that was held in cooperation with ESL, he only succeeded two goals against him and described the experience as “a fun opportunity to display FIFA to a broader public”.
After over four hours of FIFA 18 competition, our undefeated pro had completed his mission and is looking ahead to September 28 which marks the release date of FIFA 19.
We want to thank the organizers for the invitation and the successful event.
