Yesterday it was finally announced that roccats Counter-Strike team will leave the organisation to play for the Russian GamePlay TV. GamePlay TV started their own league earlier with a total prize money of $400,000.Roccat now also announced to support other games which is one of the reasons why the Counter-Strike team left. Also GamePlay TV offered a better deal for the team such as paying all the expenses for travelling to the Global Challenge in Los Angeles and a bootcamp earlier even before signing a contract.
In addition to that, the team stated to attend every Counter-Strike tournament they can except for the Global Challenge in Montreal in October. Team Manager Shayan Taleb told TheELC.com "We will attend every single available Counter-Strike event this year except for the Global Challenge in Montreal, Canada and we will also have a camera crew following us around from GamePlay.TV to shoot a documentary about the team, the players - similar to those other gaming related out there but better."
The team is now already in Los Angeles playing their first Global Challenge match tonight at 19:30 CET, you can get more information about the tournament here.
