Yesterday the groups for the ESL Extreme Masters Season III were drawn live on ESL-TV. Four groups with each eight teams and another group of death with fnatic, mouz, roccat, A-Gaming and EvilZone.

Only the top two teams of each group advance to the Continental Finals (February 2009) while the third and fourth placed teams play relegation matches of the other groups.

All top teams of Europe are once again gathered in the third season of the Extreme Masters with a total prize money of $750,000. The Global Challenge in Los Angeles this weekend will be the kick-off for the new season. The groups look promising to provide great matches throughout the whole season, starting on Tuesday.
