After a successful trial period with a WoW PvE guild we have decided to part ways. SK's time and budget will be focused on competitive PvP.The timing couldn't have been better, when we took in Curse as the SK Gaming PvE guild. They went from known to super famous after being the most dominant guild in Sunwell Plateau, and really put SK Gaming on the map when it comes to World of Warcraft raiding.
After the SWP success we gradually noticed that the initial ideas we had just did not work out. We had different visions of the future and decided to pursue our goals separately.
We want to thank Phil 'Mekon' Curry and Markus 'Mackelina' Dahlgren and of course all the other members of the guild for their time in SK. It was a great time and we wish them the best of luck in the future!
What else is going on in SK? SK Gaming is going to LA, Montreal, Dubai and HangZhou. We will have SK Gaming players at BlizzCon, ESWC Athens and at the World eSports Masters in China, on top of that SK Gaming USA with Serennia is going to ESL LA and SK PvP EU is going to ESL Montreal. Shane 'rapha' Hendrixson is going to ESWC Athens as well.

Now only PVP being booted out and SK Gaming can be called a respectfull E-sports team again.
although im ALL for pvp I do believe that the now ex. pve team was hard done by.
hopefully you guys find a new home soon and put this behind you and more world 1st.s in wrath
GL to Curse!
hope you still will fight hard to keep your #1 spot in the world :)
SK did the right thing in my eyes, as mentioned PvE has a limit. After you've cleared it all, and even compeated about clearing stuff like ZA the fastest, what left is there to do? But there is no doubt that Curse gave SK a huge boost in "famousness" :p How ever. Good luck to Curse, and the pvp squad. It'll be interresting to see what will happend with 2 US teams.
I was so upset by the majority of the Posters on this forum i actually went and made an account. This may jeapordize the weight i might carry with my comments but i feel compelled to make a case.
The race between the SK and Nihilum PVE squads was Epic and that was an esport in itself we all watched and waited, whos gonna down what first. Sry for not mentioning other top PVE squads but i could go on forever about who had a chance to beat both of these two, they just happend to be two of the most heavily promoted. The Curse guys got the job came and delivered what they were hired for. Once the job was over they parted ways, IMO it sounds just like any contract. I work construction and when a company hires my company to build something, once the building is up we dont all get jobs there cause we built it we go somewhere else and build another building. So when they say "Our visions of the future were different" it probably means just that, they didnt want jobs PVPing for SK they wanted to keep doing what they love, like, get paid to do. SK has up till now been a PVP site with pvp focus and almost everything i have read here was PVP until they took on another aspect of gaming to try to go Players VS. Players in a PVE race and they won. That is what will make them look good in the long run. That is what will show SK as a succesful label, that we can take on other groups at what they say they are best at and overcome.
Bash SK bash Curse, flame your little hearts out but until you stop and take stock of what is actually happening, after what had just happend in WoW. Curse is going back to Curse to PVE, they will prolly win again and all the power to them garenteed then come out of this stronger, and SK is going strictly to PVP and because of their affiliation with the Curse group they come out stronger as well. They both made good names for themselves in the WoW forum, and they both got maximum exposure to the best players out there in the respective focus they would like to persue.
Blehh sometimes the flaming gets to me because its all just jealous fanboi crap!
