This years official Blizzard arena tournament has been announced, and the top2 finishers from USA, Europe, Korea and Taiwan are ready to battle it out for the title as the best 3vs3 team in the world.BlizzCon 2008 takes place October 10-11 in Anaheim, California and the best 3vs3 teams in the world, such as Council of Mages, fnatic and Nihilum has qualified which definitley will lead to an interesting tournament.
The highlight will of course be the Blizzard Worldwide Invitational winners, Korean Council of Mages who wiped out everything in their way with their extremely agressive RMP setup. In interviews after that event they said that they weren't even the best team in Korea - which means that it will be even more interesting to see the second Korean RMP called HON, who finished first in the Korean regionals.
Anyway, the teams has been seeded and the brackets are out, the first winner bracket round looks like this:
fnatic (USA) vs Made in Taiwan (duh)
ROC (Taiwan) vs Council of Mages (Korea)
x6tence (Spain) vs selective queuers (USA)
HON (Korea) vs Nihilum (Europe)
The teams can choose to play any setup they wish, but if you look at their main setups there's only three different ones represented in the tournament;
RMP (Rogue, Mage, Priest)
Council of Mages
HON
WLD (Warrior, Warlock, Druid)
fnatic
ROC
selective queuers
Nihilum
WPD (Warrior, Priest, Druid)
Made in Taiwan
x6tence
The bracket can be found here.
