ImageWe are happy to announce the first two League of Legends players who will compete under the SK Gaming banner in 2016.

A month ago we shared with all of you that we are looking for players who want to represent SK Gaming as we fight for our place back into the European League of Legends Championship Series. Since then we’ve been hard at work going through hundreds of applications and trying to find the right pieces of the puzzle as we once again rebuild the LoL division.

So far we’ve come up with the right answers for two of the positions and we’d like to introduce them to you today. First up, we welcome Sun-ho ‘SuNo’ Ahn, a name many of you are probably familiar with, to the mid lane. SuNo has competed not only in Korea, but also in North America, Brazil and China, and we are very pleased that he will bring his vast amount of experience to our young team. Together with him comes Kyeong-tak ‘Dokgo’ Kim, a rookie jungler who’s eager to show his potential to the world after competing in numerous amateur teams back in Korea.

Joining SK Gaming LoL are:

Sun-ho shared the following:

"In the past two years I’ve had so many experiences. I played in Korea (SKT T1, Samsung Blue), America (Quantic Gaming), Brazil (kStars) and China (ST). Actually I think no other player has played in so many different regions in such a short amount of time.

After the time I spent in Brazil I actually wanted to take some time off. I didn't know what the future holds and I was worried about it. Then suddenly SK Gaming contacted me and I thought of it being a really great opportunity. I am ready to start a new challenge in Europe together with SK. I want to help out with the experience I have gathered so far, and I hope to gain much more as well.

I definitely want us to become a top team in the European LCS, but my biggest wish is to win the World Championship! I will try my best to bring SK Gaming back to the top!"

Kyeong-tak added:

"I got plenty of team offers recently, but when SK Gaming wanted to hire me, I joined without any hesitation. I think it is a very rare opportunity to join an European team, so I immediately grabbed the chance.

I look forward to improving my English so I can communicate without any problems. Furthermore, I wish to climb up to Rank 1 on EU Servers in both SoloQ and together with my new teammates.

The most important goal I have is obviously entering the EU LCS. After that, of course, I want to also go to the World Championship together with SK Gaming!"

We look forward to finalising our roster for 2016 and sharing more news about it in the near future but in the meantime, please give a warm welcome to Sun-ho and Kyeong-tak as they start their new adventure here in Europe together with us. They are heading to Bern, Switzerland as we speak, where they will take part in the NetGame convention between 10th and 13th December. Look out for them at the MEDION and Intel booth as they make their first appearance under the SK flag!
