Professional Gamers League(PGL) is rumored to host both European and Korean qualifiers in addition to the existing Chinese qualifier in the forthcoming season.
The popular PGL series was invitation-only dates back to the first two seasons, but started adding online qualifiers since last season.
However, the massive qualifier was rather in a primary stage as there were both Chinese and Korean players participating, but neither European nor North American player got involved.
Furthermore they gathered around 1,000 participants in one huge qualifier instead of having separated ones, but now the committee is believed to implement the latter in mid-October according to Replays.Net.
Because of this initiative, the number of seeds, who receive auto berths for the offline finals, will be further reduced from top 4 finalists to top 2 finalists last season.
We can therefore expect to see Xiang 'TH000' Huang and Jae Ho 'Moon' Jang again next season, while Weiliang 'Fly100%' Lu and Xiaofeng 'Sky' Li will have to re-qualify from the Chinese qualifier.
Although the PGL committee has left no comment on this rumor, they are confirmed to have made a 13-map pool and will publish it for voting on their official website later on and let the public decide the final 7-map pool.
