As of next Thursday World of Warcraft subscribers will be able to play Bejeweled from the cozy confines of their World of Warcraft screen.PopCap Games and Blizzard Entertainment have decided that while both of their titles resemble something along the lines of video game crack cocaine, combining the two to make super crack is the best way to service consumers.
Michael Fromwiller, a student at San Jose State University in California, had originally designed an add-on for World of Warcraft, which would allow gamers to play Besharded, a copy of Bejeweled, while slaving away at one of the many tedious tasks that World of Warcraft demands of its subscribers.
The add-on caught the attention of Bejeweled producer PopCap, who liked the idea, though thought the add-on could do with a bit of a polish. PopCap Games decided to hire Fromwiller to produce an official version of the PopCap original Bejeweled for World of Warcraft.
"[Besharded] was cool and fun, but not very polished, so we reached out to the gamer in question and hired him to do an official version of Bejeweled for WoW," PopCap representative Garth Chouteau told Wired.com.
The add-on will be available next Thursday and while Blizzard have yet to comment on the news, it doesn't look like they are apposed to having another companies game within their game.

If you want to find out something actually pertinent why don't you investigate the accusations against nWo; that they cheat (personally I don't think they do)
disable dis shii in BG and were fine :D
My point is, anyone can make an addon for WoW and Blizzard didn't "add" this by themself into the game.
PS. It's "opposed" instead of apposed but good article. Thanks!
There are plenty of occassions, where you gotta wait and some people have seen the wow scenery often enough to play little games then.
This has nothing to do with blizzard being low or anything. I don't get your point. Instead of being happy that there are game developers that give the opportunity for other developers to add something for their game, we only get to read the usual whine!?
Monkey Island ftw!
this is just wierd =/
