Fnatic qualify for NGL TWO 2008/2009

ImageFnatic successfully qualified for the 2008/2009 season of NGL TWO today after Hyosub “FoCuS” Eom rattled Volt-Gaming with a four to nil victory.

Fnatic's qualifier bid took a turn for the worse during the semi-finals in a winner bracket match versus Apoc.

Verestnikov "Frizzer" Eugene took center stage after fnatic eliminated two of Apoc's players, he then proceeded to systematically eliminate fnatic's entire line-up, eventually taking out all four single handed.

It's possible fnatic underestimated their semi-final opponents, by leaving two of the team's strongest assets, Eom and Park "Shy" Chulwoo, on the bench during the match the team limited their options.

In the semi-final of the lower bracket fnatic again made a mistake in their line-up, including only three players in their roster during a match against diamondZ. After losing to diamondZ fnatic were eliminated from the qualifiers.

Fnatic were fortunate enough to receive a second opportunity to qualify after Beijing E-sports Team were deemed unable to compete. A match to determine which team finished fifth, and would subsequently replace BeT, was arranged between fnatic and Volt-Gaming.

Given the display of strength we have seen from fnatic throughout the current WC3L season it was surprising to see them falter as they did during the qualifier. A strong performance from FoCuS saw the team finally qualify, on the strength of a four to nil victory no less.

With today's match the NGL TWO qualifiers draw to a close, the following teams will be competing in the '08/'09 season:

"1. NoWAYouT
2. Raptor-Gaming
3. WICKED eSports
4. Revolution Games
5. Betsson Voodoo Gaming
6. eXpertise
7. APOC
8. All for One
9. diamondZ
10. Team fnatic"
