The Swedish WCG Pre-Qualifier and the third Online Qualifier for IOL were played since Friday. SK Sweden won both qualifiers and qualified for the offline playoffs in both events.
Starting on Friday, the WCG Pre-Qualifier was held with 21 teams attending but only the top three qualify for the final event at the DreamHack. SK Sweden flawlessly won all of their matches and they can now prepare for the final WCG Qualifier at DreamHack Skellefteå which is held from September 26th to 28th.
Also Playzone and team denied got their spot from the Online Qualifier. Team Blank is already qualified and fnatic will most likely attend the drop-in qualifier at the DreamHack itself.
On Sunday, the Inferno Online League Season 1 was being played with 32 teams attending here. Four qualifiers are played per season and the top eight of each qualifier will then meet up in an offline qualifier for 3.200€ prizemoney and the chance to qualify for the "Final Four".
The Final Four is the final event for the Inferno Online League where all four winners of each season (4 seasons with 4 qualifiers each) will fight for a not yet announced prize money. Again SK Sweden managed to win all of their matches and got their spot for the playoffs of Season 1.
