A few days ago XplayN.com reported about a new edition of the WEG, now called World e-Sports Masters taking place in China. Now more information has been released about the prize money distribution.

The WEM will take place from 26th October to 2nd November 2008 in HangZhou, China. Eight professional Counter-Strike teams will get invited to the tournament which is being played at the Grand Lecture Hall at the HangZhou education University up until the Grand Final which is held at the HuangLong Sports Center.

It was already released that mTw.dk will attend the event which has a total prize money of $67,000 for all teams attending. Seven more teams are still being invited and more information is expected soon.

You know, after SK won the CPL in 05 they were considered to win WEG Masters but Catch-Gamer beat them 16-0. Even though SK didn't change their lineup
Too bad Norway don't have any teams to play in China this year.

hell yea, but it's not the same context.. most of the SK players had lost motivation and they didn't practice that much for that WEG you're bringing back, problems started to pop up inside the roster they which led to multiple roster changes.. Now it's an all different context and the team is eager to show the world what they're capable of. Btw, you can expect Chinese teams to do extremly well in an event taking place in China... they're just going mad with their fans screaming for each bullet they shoot.
