More information about the Extreme Masters Events is released, this time about the Europe Continental Finals. The event will take place in Hamburg with a total prize money of $80,000.

The ESL now released information about their Continental Final for Europe being held at the Congress Center in Hamburg, Germany. Both Counter-Strike 1.6 and the World of Warcraft Finals will be played here with 12 teams attending.

The teams will qualify from the Main Round, the online tournament of the Extreme Masters. While the top two of each group will advance to the Continental Final, the 3rd and 4th placed will have to play the 4th and 3rd placed team of the other group(s).

Also only the two best placed teams will then qualify for the Global Final in Hannover from 3rd to 8th March 2009 with again a total prizemoney of $200,000. The prizemoney for the Europe Finals is $80,000 split into $50,000 for Counter-Strike and $30,000 for World of Warcraft.
