ESL Sports Fußball Meisterschaft
Aside from the usual ESL Cup Series, the new EPS 1on1 format called ESL Sports Fußball Meisterschaft has been introduced, the ESL Sports Bundesliga is supposed to replace the german EPS 1on1 format. Daniel 'hero' Schellhase was therefore the last winner in the now deceased format after his victory in June this year winning it for the first time after losing to his brother Dennis 'styla' Schellhase over and over again in consecutive finals.
Each player in this new format is representing a team of the german football league called "Bundesliga". In order to qualify for this Premium League, each city had its own ladder setup in which players had to place in the top 3 to qualify for the playoffs featuring themselves and a player of the last EPS 1on1 Season. The winner of the playoffs made it into the new league and a chance to fight for a prize purse of over 80.000 €.
All of SK's players managed to climb up their EAS ladder, qualify for the playoffs and win them successfully to progress to the new league. Probably the most exciting match was the final between Kai 'deto' Wollin from hoorai and styla. After styla lost the first best of 5, he needed to win the next 5 matches and did so in styla.
This means SK is represented not once, not twice but six times in the new league with only 18 players in total. The teams to be represented by SK's players are: Schalke 04, Hamburger SV, Borussia Dortmund, Bayer 04 Leverkusen, FC Bayern and Arminia Bielefeld.

But ESL Sports have not been the only tournament to qualify for so far. This year the WCG is playing quite a big role for each player of the German FIFA scene as well since it is being played on their home soil. All SK players have been trying to qualify for the national finals in order to be able to fight for a spot at the WCG Grand Final.
It was Jannik 'Era' Huber, Joshua 'Kr0ne' Begehr and Daniel 'eNnu' Ennulat who were able to qualify by winning one of the online qualifiers while styla qualified by participating at LAN events and getting WWCL Lan points. The defending champion hero was qualifies automatically after winning the last WCG.
Only Mohamed 'TornAdo' El-eter was unable to qualify which is a pity after he played quite well at the AEF Esports Festival in Belgium this summer, placing third.
Era once again proved to be the best addition SK ever made by winning the second WCG online qualifier and facing the winners of all qualifiers in a King-of-the-hill match, where he was able to take home each match. With the national final being held during the Games Convention it was Era once again who made it up to the top to win the national finals as well.
