Buoyant ReMinD down mTw duo

Sung Sik “ReMinD” Kim of SK Gaming slices past the mTw duo Hyeong Ju “Check” Lee and Du Seop “WhO” Chang in Group A of NiceGameTV WC3 League and progressed to the knockout stage.ReMinD lost 1-2 to the eventual winner Check in the Asian qualifier of BlizzCon 2008 in Seoul, Korea last weekend, and could only settle for a third place as well as a prize cheque for $1,000.
But he returned his opponent with a 0-1 defeat, whom in the end had his fate sealed in the competition with another defeat to ReMinD’s SK Gaming team-mate Seong Deok 'SoJu' Lee.
ReMinD will meet the second place of Group D, which composed of Weiliang 'Fly100%' Lu, Manuel 'GrubbY' Schenkhuizen, Yong-Gyun 'Gyunah' Kim and Yoan 'ToD' Merlo, in the quarter-finals.
The newly crowned ESWC champion WhO lost qualification for the qualifier last weekend to his team-mate Jin Woo 'WinNers' Kim at the margins of experience in the invitational ladder.
However, he made up for the BlizzCon loss in this $20,000 tournament with a double defeats of SoJu and booked a quarter-finals meeting with the first place of Group D.
Korea veteran Sung Yeon 'Myth' Kim and World Elite youngster Yong 'Hovermoon' Wang will set Group C underway at 12:00 CET, September 3, while the clash of the titans, June 'Lyn' Park of SK Gaming versus Xiaofeng 'Sky' Li of World Elite will take place shortly after.
