The latest addition to fnatic, Dong Hwan “viOlet” Kim progressed to the quarter-finals together with Jae Ho “Moon” Jang of Meet Your Makers after knocking out two of his new team-mates Hyo Sub “FoCuS” Eom and Sung Hyun “Space” Park.ViOlet made his first appearance of fnatic in Round of 16 in NiceGameTV WC3 League today after he was introduced to the public as their third Orc player alongside FoCuS and Min Hyuk 'MinHyuk' Jo.
However, his debut against FoCuS on Twisted Meadows was hammered by his experienced team-mate. FoCuS killed several of his grunts in early stage of the game, and with some ideal items on his Level 4 Blade Master, a valuable Level 3 Shadow Hunter and a much larger army, he sent viOlet to the lower bracket with a comfortable win.
After having a upsetting start of the day, viOlet shaped up in the following match against fellow Korean Space on Tidewater Glades. Walking away with a win, he earned a chance to put things to rights in a reunion with FoCuS in the decisive match.
He seemed to have hit the stride as he successfully creep jacked his counterpart, killed a grunt, delayed FoCuS’ Bestiary and Spirit Lodge altogether in less than 7 minutes. In the end FoCuS fell flat to kill more than one rider while losing almost all his units to viOlet.
