Sung Sik “ReMinD” Kim gets Deok Man “SocceR” Youn in the Battle.net Season 6 Asian qualifier as Blizzard releases the tournament tree. The SK Gaming player received an auto-berth for the qualifier to be held in Seoul, Korea from August 30 to 31 thanks to his previous achievements in Blizzard’s tournaments. The Night Elf mirror expert is set to meet SocceR in the first round. Both players have exactly the same win ratio in this match-up, but the Meet Your Makers player won 2-0 in their last encounter in KODE5 Korea qualifier.
Alongside ReMinD who received direct invite is the Player of the Year, Jae Ho 'Moon' Jang of Meet Your Makers. The ESWC Masters and BWI double champion will feature in another Night Elf mirror match against the eighth seed Jin Woo 'WinNers' Kim of mTw.
June 'Lyn' Park of SK Gaming reached second place in the invitational ladder, which gathered most of renown Asian players, with least played games and highest win ratio. He gets to play his specialty against the Korea Undead player Jung Ki 'Susiria' Oh. However, the outcome of this match may not seems so clear from ESWC on as it was defeats to Undead players Zhuo 'TeD' Zeng and Seo Woo 'ReiGn' Kang that ruled the Korea Orc player out of the competition.
Third seed Hyeong Ju 'Check' Lee of mTw, who finished first in the invitational ladder, will face challenge from Hyo Sub 'FoCuS' Eom of fnatic.
The tournament follows best of three double elimination format. Top three finishers will not only earn places in the Global finals at this year's Blizzcon, which will take place from October 10 to 11 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California, but also a total prize purse of $8,000.
The complete tournament tree is available in BlizzCon 2008 Asian qualifier.
