The Polish Counter-Strike monsters have set a new record as they are the only team in the world who has won ESWC two times in a row.MYM/PGS final opponent, "challenger", was non other than the best Asian team eSTRO. Both teams had a hard way to the finals and both still had the hardest match ahead.
The first map was de_dust2 which isn't the very best map for both teams and that proved on the battle field as the whole match went side by side till the very last 30th round where the Poles pulled of a 16:14 victory.
The second map was de_nuke. MYM/PGS was able to take advantage in the first half and it looked like the second half will be the last in this final. But it wasn't and the Koreans were so persistent that in the end they turned the table and won the map 16:13.
The final and last map was de_tuscan, a map that should favour the Poles more, because they surely have played it more than their opponent has. And it surely did look like that for more than first half of the map.
But as soon as MYM/PGS got to the match point (15:6), eSTRO started an unbelievably incredible comeback. The Koreans managed to win a lot of 3v5 and other various situations pushing the score to 13:16.

pro100.VP :((
...what?
mym didnt play much tuscan and also estro didnt
it was skill vs skill - and as u can see estro was a hard opponent with a high skill :-)
Come on ! how pro can you be ? we are talking about players that won everything they can and that played 10000000 hours online and still after ages you wanna tell us that they are not that good on dust2 ? i think this is funny because there are only a couple of maps so they are pro so they must know the map and play them just as good as the other maps.
Ofcourse i know that some maps are alway's played most but that's exactly the problem in this old game, when is this game dead finally and when are the players switch to cod4 for example much more realistic and much better graphics and more fun to watch.
gj to MYM
No fair circumstances if you ask me!
mouz played so well only lost because they had such an intense match against SK and had not much time to rest!
Losing 16:7 on dust2 vs MYM, but winning vs SK 16:13
Makes sense yeah
And dont tell me everybody had the same chances, because other teams had more time to prepare after their match than others!
1 day tournament = fail IMO
