SK Gaming's Shane "rapha" Hendrixson has finished 3rd in this years Electronic Sports World Cup 2008 Quake 3 tournament.

In order to finish third in the tournament, Shane 'rapha' Hendrixson had to be smarter, precise and luckier than his opponent Zhibo 'Fan Zhibo' Fan. And he was as he won two maps out of three. But it wasn't that easy and it could have went other way if rapha wouldn't have won the SUPER intense game on pro-Q3DM6 with a score of 9:8.

This win might be the reason he could finish third and earn 4.000$ in probably the last Quake 3 tournament ever. If he wouldn't have won it, then RazerJ could be a lot happier as he was slightly better on the second map which was ZTN3Tourney1 and the score was 10:1.

Fortunately for Shane 'rapha' Hendrixson, RazerJ wasn't that good on no-DM9 and the American secured a bronze in this years ESWC Grand Finals with a 9:4 victory.

I am very sad too hear that someone is timing behind rapahs back. VERY bad manners. Not saying he did hear it. But still. That could be a major fuckup for rapahs credibility IMO.

Just wanna make clear. I don't doubt rapha's skill in any way. He's the one that impressed me most in this tournament. But with old school players like zero4 sitting behind him there. He should know that you DON'T talk about item times in that spot during a official match. (not saying he said it either) But it does not look good in any way.

It was Vo0's voice and I guarantee rapha did not hear it.

It's not really about him hearing it or not. It's about that it's been a unwritten rule since the first tournament I attented. 1on1 is not a coaching gametype, therfor no things about the game should be mentioned behind the players. It's quite obvious why it's just comon manners.

And again, not doubting rapha in any way.

1) Vo0's head was right next to the camera so the microphone picked it up very easily. It is an illusion that it was loud. There was no way that rapha could have heard it, otherwise I am sure Vo0 would not have opened his mouth.

2) I heard times being called on jibo's end in group play vs. rapha.

Thats what I mean't. It looked bad, and needed too be explained. Just don't understand how you can't admit that it can look bad. It's been brought up so many times when russians sit behind eachother and chat before.

By stating the problem an explanation will arise. I stand by that it's bad manners too mentioning things like that behind the player, there has been so much whine about things like that in the past. And I just said it could be -ev for rapha's credibility IMO, what's really the big deal here?!
