What an impressive opening!

The first matches have been played, and as the day comes to an end here in the old world, it's time for a first summary of the tournaments action. The first and definitively not the best fact is that the ESWC only provided two streams until now. Both games of the Malaysian team Kingsurf were broadcasted via WaaaghTV, but all the other games - especially the SK-Gaming matches - were not provided to the community in any way. So there are also no replays of other games than the matches of Kingsurf against NAFU and Evil Geniuses by now.
But that's the only bad thing. Especially the second game, the clash of the ESWC third placed team Evil Geniuses from America versus the Malaysian powerhouse was pure entertainment.
In a game of more than 70 minutes, with a lot of happenings that make DotA worth watching, for a long time it was not clear who will take home the win.
And when the game was about to reach its climax, the stream crashed and the game was lost for most of the audience.
What mouz|Drayich thinks about the match:
Kingsurf won and proved their power once more when it comes to offline competition.
Beside this impressive fight of two candidates for the play offs there have been several matches that seem to be not that important.
For example Kingsurf stomped the Canadian team NAFU, SK-Gaming the Pakistanian team S3X and EG won over Serious Gaming from France. The last match may have been interesting to watch, but sadly there was no stream provided and until now SK-Gaming has no replay to check or upload.

The second big surprise until now is the fact that SK-Gaming lost to Serious Gaming. Again it's a pitty that there is no replay available, because this has shocked a lot of fanboys and causes a lot of pressure on the top rated candidate for the ESWC crown - SK.DotA.
Last but not least, the fight of the teams that are rated as underdogs: S3X was able to defeat NAFU. This is another surprise for most of those who are following up on the DotA scene. This proves as well as the loss of SK-Gaming that the offline events are always up for unexpected excitement.
For more information, such as the schedule of the upcoming matches and replays, as far as we can provide them, all statisics can be checked out on the tournament page of SK-Gaming.

What mouz|Drayich thinks about the match:
"Ks had a much better lineup for 52e, even if EG had a nice earlygame lineup, Shaker and POTM arent really earlygame winners unless you are getting pushed.
I said already after picks Ks would win, but EG played amazingly and at one point i thought they would manage anyway."
