The CPL website has got a new press release about an investment group from the United Arab Emirates acquiring the CPL brand.

The CPL website has got a new press release about an investment group from the United Arab Emirates acquiring the CPL brand.According to the press release, the CPL brand and its intellectual property was sold by Angel Munoz's company NewWorld to investors from the UAE.
The new company will be called CPL, LCC and have its quarters in the United Arab Emirates and will also organise videogame tournaments online.
More details regarding this deal and the plans will be released in late September. The entire press release may as well be a joke as "Angela Summers," the name of the buyers' spokesperson, brings up porn websites.
The CPL was started in 1997 and for a long time was a leader in the field of organising esports events. Its prestige and strength waned with time until discontinued their business activities in March 2008.

Smells like another scam for me, since they did not tell the investment group's name either so this move isn't that reliable.
IMHO for Munoz it is the best deal

Angel isn't a bad business man he just made mistakes that are required when your trying to build something great and thats E-sports in the mainstream media.
