Drawn into one of the most competitive groups together with likes of Moon, SocceR and Seo Woo 'ReiGn' Kang of SK Gaming and had to meet the ESWC Masters and Blizzard Worldwide Invitational 2008 double champion in the first game, Myth was considered to be among the first to be knocked out in Group 5.

The 22-year-old Human player who returned to the professional gaming scene after fullfilling his military service this January, demonstrated his participation is not only luck of the draw.

He deployed the same strategy as he did against Moon several years ago in his first appearance, the infamous mass towers and tanks strategy and the outcome remained the same. Victorious Myth then proceeded to the upper bracket final and met SocceR on Centaur Grove who had previously defeated ReiGn on Twisted Meadows.

SocceR tried to mass expansions and abuse Myth’s main base with high level heroes of Demon Hunter, Naga Sea Witch and Pandaren Brewmaster. However his trick did not get on the veteran’s nerve despite losing countless peasants due to SocceR’s continuous harrassment. Myth managed to uncover all his opponent’s hidden buildings and destroy them before SocceR could do to the same.

Myth now progresses to the second group stage and will take on Yong 'Hovermoon' Wang of World Elite 09 in Group 3. Meanwhile Moon proved his strength in mirror game after defeating SocceR in the group consolation final and follows Myth in the next stage. He will then play against the Korean Undead player Sung Hyun 'Space' Park of fnatic, who has previously defeated him several times, in Group 2.

Group 6, which is another competitive group with June 'Lyn' Park of SK Gaming, Daniel 'LiiLD.C' Claesson of nGize, Nikolaus 'SonKiE' Cassidy of Serious Gaming and Hyo Sub 'FoCuS' Eom of fnatic, will kick off at 12:00 CET on August 22.
