ImageMihail 'XyLigan' Ryabkov of Gravitas Gaming will succeed his former team-mate Boris 'Quaix' Lekontsev in San Jose as the latter’s visa application was turned down.

The n!faculty player clinched berth for the Grand finals after defeat of Maxim 'ShaDe' Babarcev in the consolation final of Russia qualifier two months ago, and earned a chance to represent his country in international stage for the first time.

However, named as one of the eight medium seeds, Quaix will have to see his place taken by the Gravitas Gaming captain according myMYM.com as the U.S embassy did not approve his visa application.

XyLigan qualified for the Global finals in Paris, France last year, but the 21-year-old was knocked out of the tournament in the second group stage by former Four Kings duo Olav 'Creolophus' Undheim and Manuel 'GrubbY' Schenkhuizen.

Ever since San Jose was chosen as the host city for ESWC Grand finals, visa issues have been one of the major concerns and Quaix is not walking alone.ESWC China finals winner Xiang 'TH000' Huang of wNv Teamwork had his first application denied earlier this month. He and his compatriot Zhuo 'TeD' Zeng of World Elite are still awaiting visa application approvals.
