ESWC raises prize money to $200,000
The ESWC Grand Finals prize pot rose by $19,500 up to $200,000 compared to last year's $180,500.

The ESWC Grand Finals prize pot rose by $19,500 up to $200,000 compared to last year's $180,500.The purse for this year's event is still much lower than the ESWC record from 2006 ($400,000) but rose compared to last year. With the addition of the $66,000 that was given away at ESWC Masters of Paris, the total given away this year reaches $266,000.

The ESWC Grand Final will take place in San Jose on August 25-27 during the NVISION trade show. It will be the sixth edition of one of the world's most prestigious events.
SK Gaming will have twenty-one representatives in each of the tournaments bar the one for Trackmania: SK Sweden, SK Ladies (title defenders), SK.DotA, John "ZeRo4" Hill, Shane "rapha" Hendrixson (both Quake 3) and Warcraft 3 players Lee "SoJu" Seong Deok (title defender), Park "Lyn" June, Kang "reiGn" Seo Woo and Daniel "miou" Holthuis.

They are not even playing in bikinis/topless to make it worth for the media/marketing. Invite WoW teams instead, many do not like the game at all, but it brings more spectators than some female CS compo, for real.
esports are mostly a male territory and it's part of a male's nature the interest on its opposite so, girls are always girls, wherever they are.
and media-wise, it's much easier to gather interest from a newspaper or television company because you have 70 girls from 14 different countries playing a computer game commonly associated with guys than another "boys playing pc" party.
or why the hell would professional teams have a female counter-strike squad that play for something big twice a year?
