In Wrath of the Lich King Warlock's damage output is being toned down to match the Mage's damage, Priests are getting a Spell Power buff to Inner Fire and Blizzard might reconsider making Mage’s and Warlock’s armor undispellable.A lot of class changes have been made in the Wrath of the Lich King beta and one of the most notable changes are the toning down of Warlock's damage output. Blizzard want Warlocks to be more like the Hunter, making their pet's factor into the Warlocks damage output. Blizzard are also changing the damage output so Warlocks that invest in group/raid utility should be lower, while those who sacrifice the utility talents should come very close to a Mage.
Priests recently received a buff to Inner Fire giving it healing power, but that will be changed to give Inner Fire a Spell Power buff making the spell useful for Shadow Priests as well. Inner Fire will still have its current charges mechanic due to the fact that if they were to remove it they would be forced to up the mana cost. It is unlikely that Inner Fire will be made undispellable similar to how Mage’s and Warlock’s armor work now, and Blizzard are unsure if they like the way that Mage’s and Warlock’s armor is undispellable.

lolwut?
lolwut!?
Couldn't care less about warlocks.
WotLK = locks are gonna reroll to mages
But warlocks equals:
Shadow Bolt
Shadow Bolt
Shadow Bolt
and....
Shadow Bolt!
And ofcourse popping drums, trinkets and consumables, but that's the same for all classes so it doesn't really matter.
You can say what you want, but druid/lock isn't by a long shot the same strong combo as it was in season2.
Every setup has its counter, but this is a team that 95% of the top 2v2 setups hate to face.
would be very nice too see mages back where they were in wow classic raids and not only for Int buff and water
peace yo
*cheers at mages*
no one that likes to go with his class as dd, should be outdamaged by another class just because of his class-setup (special situations taken out).
otherwise blizzard should stop making damage trees for classes, that were never supposed to do damage at all in an instance at all. it's just stupid having to discuss the raidsetup of classes solely of there damage output of a class and not for the tools that this class brings to the table (e.g. ok this or that class would be nice to have, but he will never be able to match the damage of another rogue/warlock/mage, therefore we can't use him)
Those 2 classes appart from a handful of encounters don't have any raid utility than doing damage, therefore those 2 classes should be the ones providing the best dps.
Hybrids or utility class should never be able to do as much as them, although they would be following closely, because being useful and doing awesome dps can't go together.
