The USA ambassador cold-shouldered the ESWC China Finals winner Xiang “TH000” Huang and turned down his ESWC dream. The wNv Teamwork player has been incredible in the past two months. After defeat of Jae Ho 'Moon' Jang of Meet Your Makers in the PGL Season III Final, which brought him his first major tournament title, TH000 clinched a berth for the ESWC Global Final with a terrific performance in ESWC China last month.
However, the 18-year-old may have to sit back and watch his compatriots competing for the honour of his country. replays.net reported that the popular Chinese player’s visa application was denied, while it is still uncertain whether the runner-up of ESWC China Zhuo 'TeD' Zeng of World Elite, after losing his berth for WCG Grand Final to Chenglong 'Sai' Zhou of wNv Teamwork, will be able to join his team-mate Xiaofeng 'Sky' Li in ESWC.
Though wNv Teamwork is trying to set up another meeting with the USA ambassador for their player, the chance is rather small. In previous occasions, second runner-up will replace the player who is unable to participate. Therefore Kejing 'Like' Li of World Elite, who recently came first in WCG China Finals, would feasibly be able to pursue his double title dream.
The list of qualified players so far is:
Seong Deok 'SoJu' Lee (reigning champion, direct invite)
June 'Lyn' Park
Seo Woo 'ReiGn' Kang
Daniel 'miou' Holthuis
Jae Ho 'Moon' Jang
Manuel 'Grubby' Schenkhuizen
Du Seop 'WhO' Chang
Xiaofeng 'Sky' Li
Zhuo 'TeD' Zeng
Xiang 'TH000' Huang
