NiceGameTV released probably the largest qualification ever with pretty much all known players around the world participating and divided into 24 groups. Players will go through a single elimination best of three playoffs in their respective groups and only the group winner is qualified to join 8 seeded players in the looming season.

The first day of the qualification witnessed the return of the Korean veterans, Jae shin 'EVE' Park of Meet Your Makers and Sung Yeon 'Myth' Kim of Beijing Esports Team. The Meet Your Makers player defeated the progressive World Elite player Xiang 'Panxiang' Pan 2-0 in the final of Group 1, whilst Myth upset Kim 'SaSe' Hammar of Team Alternate in group 2 in his first appearance since the major revamp of his team.

Daniel 'LiiLD.C' Claesson of nGize is the first European player who has made it through group stage so far. Drawn into a group with Xiang 'TH000' Huang of wNv Teamwork and Moritz 'coru' Wagner of Team Alternate, LiiLD.C cruised through his group defeating destroyu in the final who earlier received a walkover from TH000 and then beat coru.

Another major upset in the qualification so far is the runner-up of KODE5, Chul Woo 'Shy' Park of Fnatic. The 21-year-old lost 0-2 to Yong 'Hovermoon' Wang of World Elite in the final match of his group, in spite of beating Alexander 'iNSoLeNCE' Hein of Raptor Gaming and Sebastian 'FuRy' Pesic before-hand.

The qualification will continue tomorrow with Group 13 to 18 starting at 11:00 CET. Players like Dae Hui 'FoV' Cho, Seong Deok 'SoJu' Lee, Liwei 'xiaOt' Sun and Kejing 'Like' Li will feature tomorrow and do their upmost to qualify for the regular season of currently the biggest Korean Warcraft III league.
