John Carmack mingled around the BYOC area at QuakeCon and answered the community's questions for about an hour revealing interesting information. After giving long interviews to the media in the press area the creator of Quake came down to the QuakeLive tournament area to watch some of the event's matches. He was soon surrounded by players asking him questions about QL and Doom.
One of the interesting bits that he revealed was that the match-making system will be added to the game "in a week."
"If you are so inept that you walk off edges, then the system will put you against other inept players." John Carmack's keynote quotation pretty much sums up what the match-making system built into QuakeLive is supposed to do.
The system will be based on proximity (ping) and the player's skill measured with a plethora of statistics.
In a video interview with SK Gaming (to be released after QCon), QLive producer Marty Stratton also hinted at the possibility of QuakeLive having an entire system of leagues similar to CB or ESL online competitions.
The id Software president also revealed that statistics and leaderboards will be a major part of the game. In the future players will be able to check out stats like those you would see in a real sports broadcast. Things like how player A did against player B or statistics of games on a given map.
Carmack said that even stats such as the number of frags made on players with quad damage and players in the proximity of a quad damage.
One of the other concerns that Carmack has addressed in the conversations was the addition of user-generated content. At this stage QuakeLive will not support community mods. id wants to focus on a small number of game types. On the other hand, community maps will be supported and integrated into the game in some time.
QuakeLive is a free game available via an internet browser made on the Quake 3 engine. It is in the closed beta stage and will enter open beta soon. You can sign up for it on QuakeLive.com.

I've tried all kinds of variations of laghax, xerp, nudge, timenudge and only with everything 0 does it seem remotely close to the visual representation. I think people just like the netcode because it's more forgiving on aim.
No, I don't claim to be an expert so if anyone could suggest a solution please reply! :D
